Green Giving

Do you run a business that supports Nearby Nature’s mission? Are you an artist who would like your creations to “contribute” to the community? Are you a musician or a writer whose tunes or tales feature the wonders of nature nearby? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then we hope you will join Nearby Nature’s Green Giving Program.

So how does Green Giving work? Green Giving Partners support Nearby Nature’s mission by sharing their skills or donating a portion of their profits to Nearby Nature. These donations help sustain everything from our nature walks for school children to scholarships for low-income families to native plant restoration projects.

Green Giving Partners can choose what kind of donation they would like to make from a variety of options. For example, some partners donate a percentage of their profits over a given period of time or a percentage of profits on a particular product or service. Others choose to make a donation of a specific dollar amount per year or sponsor a specific program. Still others share their talents in-kind, for example, by providing construction or artistic services.

Regardless of how they contribute, we are grateful to all of our Green Giving Partners — past, present, and future — for their generous support. We hope that you will help us by supporting our Partners. Please patronize their businesses and share their names with your friends. For a list of our most recent partners, see the directory below.

If you would like to learn more about how you can become a Green Giving Partner, please contact Beth Stein at 541-687-9699 or info@nearbynature.org.
