Youth Scholarship Fund

Times are tight, but that shouldn't prevent kids from taking part in Nearby Nature's educational programs! We believe that EVERYONE needs a chance to discover, explore, and learn from nature nearby.

In April 2009, Nearby Nature started a Youth Scholarship Fund. Money in this fund will provide scholarships for children to attend our school programs, No School Day Adventures, and summer daycamps.

If you would like to contribute to this fund, please go to our Memberships and Donations page. If you use Pay Pal, click on Make a Donation and add a note with your donation or send us an email to let us know that you would like your contribution to be added to our Youth Scholarship Fund. If you send your contribution by mail, check the appropriate box on the Memberships and Donations Form.

Thanks to Track Town Pizza on Franklin Blvd. for sponsoring a Pizza Pie Benefit Day for Nearby Nature that gave us our first $400 for this fund in April of 2009! Thanks also to the Jill Heinman Fund of the Oregon Country Fair for providing the next $700 through a grant in May of 2009.
