No School Day Programs

Nearby Nature No School Day Programs are a medley of adventure, discovery, art, and science. We take hikes, play games, and use nature study tools. We also celebrate the imagination. We tell stories, do crafts, act out plays, and write in journals. Most programs also feature special guests.

Small Group Size

Nearby Nature limits each program to between ten and twelve kids. In addition to a lead instructor, most camps have an adult volunteer and/or a teen outdoor leader. Our kids get lots of attention!

Local Parks

Nearby Nature programs take place in Alton Baker. Your child will get to know their own local natural areas, which can then give the confidence to take your family on an adventure! Water and bathroom facilities are available. Activities take place outdoors, rain or shine.

Experienced Leaders

Each camp leader is an experienced naturalist educator. All lead instructors are certified in First Aid and CPR. Resumes are available.

Ages

The focused age group for the No School Day program and Spring Break Day Camp is 6-10 years old.
