Nearby Nature’s office (called the Nature Hut), the Learnscape Garden and Outdoor Classroom, our Yurt, the Water Wise Garden, and the Park Host Residence are in Alton Baker Park. You can find us in Google Maps. Our street address is 622 Day Island Road, Eugene, OR 97401. (Note — This is not a mailing address. Our mailing address is PO Box 3678, Eugene, OR 97403.) By car:
- Turn into the main Alton Baker Park entrance on Country Club Road. Follow the park road through the parking lots, veer left past the Park Host sign, drive past Cuthbert Amphitheater on the left, and past the turn off for the Boat Ramp on the right. The Yurt, Nature Hut office (next to the Yurt), blue Park Host Residence, and Learnscape are immediately after the Community Gardens and before bollards close the road going further into the park. Park in the gravel lot by the Community Gardens. To get to the Learnscape, walk through the wooden gate just past the parking area. To get to our Nature Hut Office or the Yurt, walk down the road past the parking area and take a right in front of the blue Park Host Residence. You’ll find our Nature Hut Office and Yurt just a short walk down the road.
On a bike or on foot:
- From the South, cross the Frohnmayer Footbridge, go straight toward Autzen Stadium on the bike path, and turn left at the closed road before the dog park. The blue Park Host Residence, Yurt, Nature Hut office (next to the Yurt), and Learnscape are up the road just a short distance, on the left. You can lock your bike in our covered bike rack in front of the Yurt.
- From the east or west, follow the Willamette River bike path to the Frohnmayer Footbridge. Then follow directions for “from the south”.
- From the north: Enter the park at the main entrance on Country Club Road. Then follow directions for cars above. You can lock your bike in our covered bike rack in front of the Yurt.
