SUMMARY:Natural Neighbors After School Spring 2026 Session Begins -- Space Available!
DESCRIPTION:Participants in this program enjoy after school adventures in Alton Baker Park and our Learnscape. Park exploration\, natural science activities\, Earth art\, and free time in our outdoor play spaces help students get to know their nearby animal and plant neighbors and deepen their personal connections to the amazing natural community we all call home. \nPrograms happen Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:30-5:30 pm and Wednesdays from 2-5:30 pm at our Learnscape in Alton Baker Park\, rain or shine\, kids ages 5-11 (K-5th grade). Flexible drop off from 2:30-3:30 pm on Tuesday and Friday and from 2-3 pm on Wednesdays. Pick up between 5-5:30 pm. Note that online enrollment is ongoing and we will prorate your final fees due according to when you join the group. As of January 2026\, space is still available for all days in our Spring 2026 session! For our Friday session\, we are currently gathering names on a wait list. Once we have enough kids to run a session\, we will open that day! \nSee details at Natural Neighbors After School. \nSimply pay the $50 deposit and we will prorate your final fees due according to when you join the group. If you are applying for a scholarship\, use the coupon code ECO at online checkout and no fee will be charged until we have confirmed your financial aid. \nPlease note this program has sessions on Tuesday\, Wednesday\, and Friday. Children are welcome to register for one\, two\, or three days a week. Activities will be different on each day.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate night creatures at our 30th annual Haunted Hike Celebration and Fundraiser! Enjoy an hour long pumpkin-lit hike in Alton Baker Park and meet an entertaining costumed bat\, frog\, spider\, owl\, and more. Join us for night-themed activities in the shelter before or after your hike. The event happens rain or moonshine — so dress for the weather! \nPre-registration and payment required online staring in September. NOTE — when you register\, please only register in ONE adult’s name. As you complete your registration\, you will be asked how many adults and how many children are in your group. Also\, if the hike times you are interested in are all full\, PLEASE sign up on the hike called WAITLIST  Thanks! \nHelp Nearby Nature reach its goal of getting Every Child Outside by contributing to our ECO Fund as part of this event.  Every year we grant more than $10\,000 to families and schools! \nCancellation Policy: Please note paid fees for this event as well as membership are non-refundable.
