SUMMARY:Alton Baker Park Fall Cleanup with SOLVE
DESCRIPTION:Join Nearby Nature for an Alton Baker Park Cleanup in partnership with SOLVE on Tuesday\, September 24th\, from 10 am-1pm! At this park stewardship event\, we’ll be doing a litter patrol in the Whilamut Natural Area\, a lovely part of Alton Baker Park adjacent to the Willamette River bike path. As you caretake this in-town open space\, watch for herons fishing by the water\, osprey soaring in the sky\, signs of native busy beavers\, and more! \nMeet on the Water Wise Garden lawn in front of Nearby Nature’s Park Host Residence in Alton Baker Park. Nearby Nature will provide gloves\, trash bags\, and trash grabbers. Volunteers should register in advance with SOLVE\, bring a water bottle\, a snack\, and dress for the weather in closed-toe shoes and clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. Due to potential safety concerns related to kids picking up trash\, all participants must be 10 years of age or older and  accompanied by an adult.

DESCRIPTION:Help Nearby Nature clean and repaint faded sections of our beautiful Frohnmayer Footbridge stencil mural! Note: In case of rain\, we will instead do an Alton Baker Park litter patrol. Volunteers should bring a water bottle and dress for the weather in closed-toe shoes and clothing appropriate for painting/walking in the park. \n\nDue to potential safety concerns related to kids using spray paint and/or picking up trash\, all participants must be 10 years of age or older and accompanied by an adult.
