Our Wonder Keepers develop a personal connection to the natural world\, make new friends\, and develop confidence through independent exploring. \nPrograms happen Monday\, Wednesday\, and Friday from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at our Learnscape in Alton Baker Park\, rain or shine\, for kids 3-5 years old. You may request to register your child for one\, two\, or three days a week (as space is available). Flexible drop off is between 8:30-9 am and flexible pick up is between 12-12:30 pm. \nSee complete details at Wonder Keepers. \nOur Winter 2023 season begins January 9th. Online application for enrollment is ongoing. DESCRIPTION:In honor of Earth Day\, Nearby Nature is partnering with SOLVE for an annual cleanup of Alton Baker Park. Join neighbors\, community organizations\, and local businesses as we pick up litter to help ensure the park is clean and safe for everyone – all while enjoying a stroll in the park. Maybe you’ll see a great blue heron\, a duck\, or a beaver! \nMeet on the lawn by the yurt at Nearby Nature’s site in Alton Baker Park. Nearby Nature will provide disposable gloves and tools. Volunteers should register in advance\, bring a water bottle\, a snack\, and dress for the weather in closed-toe shoes and clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. Due to potential safety concerns related to kids and picking up trash\, we ask that all participants are 10 years of age or older.

DESCRIPTION:Join Nearby Nature for this year’s Alton Baker Park Cleanup in partnership with SOLVE on Saturday September 16th from 10 am-1pm and help enhance Alton Baker Park and the Whilamut Natural Area. This beautiful area sits adjacent to the Willamette River bike path and showcases native trees\, wildflowers\, and wildlife! \nVolunteers will team up to do litter patrols ranging from Nearby Nature’s home base near the Alton Baker Park Community Garden east to the I-5 Bridge.. \nMeet on the Water Wise Garden lawn in front of the Park Host Residence at Nearby Nature’s site in Alton Baker Park. Nearby Nature will provide disposable gloves\, trash bags\, and trash grabbers. Volunteers should register in advance\, bring a water bottle\, a snack\, and dress for the weather in closed-toe shoes and clothes they don’t mind getting dirty. Due to potential safety concerns related to kids and picking up trash\, we ask that all participants are 10 years of age or older and are accompanied by an adult.

SUMMARY:Preschool Wonder Keepers Fall 2023 Session Begins
DESCRIPTION:In this all outdoor preschool program\, children will enjoy sensory adventures\, cooperative activities\, nature storytelling\, garden exploration\, Earth art\, and free time in our outdoor play spaces. Our Wonder Keepers develop a personal connection to the natural world\, make new friends\, and develop confidence through independent exploring. \nPrograms happen Monday\, Wednesday\, and Friday from 8:30 am-12:30 pm at our Learnscape in Alton Baker Park\, rain or shine\, for kids 3-5 years old. You may request to register your child for one\, two\, or three days a week (as space is available). Flexible drop off is between 8:30-9 am and flexible pick up is between 12-12:30 pm. \nSee complete details at Wonder Keepers. \nOur Fall 2023 season begins September 18th. Online application for enrollment is ongoing.
