Celebrate night creatures at our 30th annual Haunted Hike Celebration and Fundraiser! Enjoy an hour long pumpkin-lit hike in Alton Baker Park and meet an entertaining costumed bat, frog, raccoon, owl, and more. Also join us for night-themed activities in the park shelter before or after your hike. The event happens rain or moonshine — so dress for the weather! Pre-registration and payment is required online here. The Haunted Hike is FREE for Members and $10/Individual or $25/Family for Non-Members.
You can also help Nearby Nature reach its goal of getting Every Child Outside by contributing to our ECO Fund as part of this event. Every year we grant more than $10,000 to families and schools! You can donate here or on the Haunted Hike registration site by choosing ECO Fund Donation Only option.
IMPORTANT REGISTRATION TIPS:
1) You will need to choose one time slot between 5:30 and 7:40 for your walk. Each walk lasts about an hour.
2) When you register, please only register in ONE adult’s name. As you complete your registration, you will be asked how many adults and how many children are in your group. The walk is most appropriate for preschoolers through elementary school children.
3) There are a limited number of spaces available in each walk. There is a wait list that will open for each time slot after it fills. If your ideal time is full and you cannot make another time work, sign up on wait lists for walks that work and we’ll let you know if spaces open. We sometimes open more spots as we adjust our enrollment. But please choose an open time slot if you want to guarantee that you’ll be able to attend.
4) Please reach out to programs@nearbynature.org if the cost is a hardship for your family. We don’t want to leave anyone out!
