Every summer, Nearby Nature runs a series of week-long outdoor daycamps in local parks. At each camp, an adult volunteer or an intern and a youth Outdoor Leader (13-18 years old) help our staff with games, outdoor science, crafts, music, and more.
Volunteers commit to assisting with at least one week-long camp per summer, for three-four hours per day. Interns and Outdoor Leaders commit to four or more weeks. Training is provided for all daycamp assistants, Outdoor Leaders, and interns in 2020 on June 6th from 10am-4pm. See our Calendar for training details in late March. Teen volunteers should read our Outdoor Leader Job Description and fill out an Outdoor Leader application (Microsoft Word Fill-In Form or Printable PDF Form). Adult volunteers should fill out a Volunteer Questionnaire and potential interns will find application materials here.
