Every summer, Nearby Nature runs a series of week-long outdoor daycamps in local parks. At each camp, an adult volunteer or an intern and a youth Outdoor Leader (13-18 years old) help our staff with games, outdoor science, crafts, music, and more.
Adult volunteer assistants commit to helping for at least one week-long camp per summer, three-four hours per day. Interns and Outdoor Leaders commit to four or more weeks. Training will be provided for all daycamp assistants, Outdoor Leaders, and interns in 2024 on June 15th from 10am-4pm. Teen volunteers should read about our Outdoor Leaders program and fill out an application here.
