Designed with families in mind, but open to “kids” of all ages, each two hour Nature Quest highlights a new and fascinating aspect of nature nearby—from creepy-crawlies that hide in the tall grass to the wonders of bird migration.
Activities include a family-paced hike or nature adventure, a craft or game, a snack, and sometimes a visit from a costumed Kinder Critter! Rah Rah Rodents, Celebrate Slime, Nesting Neighbors, Gnome Roam, Creepy Crawly Bug Safari, and Beast Feast are just a few of our fun past topics.
Most Nature Quests start at our Learnscape in Alton Baker Park. Cars can park next to the Community Gardens in and bikes can be locked in our covered bike shelter. Occasionally we also venture to other nearby natural places — including Amazon, Hendricks, and Tugman Parks.
Nature Quests are FREE for members and $8 a family for non-members. See our Calendar for upcoming events.
