Nature Quest: If Stones Could Talk (Pre-Registration Required)

Join Nearby Nature for a special Nature Quest as we help support healthy time in nature for our local BIPOC community and allies! Check out NAACP’s You Deserve It — Get Your Nature On for a complete list of events happening June 24-27 — all free — in Alton Baker Park.

Nearby Nature’s event happens on June 26: Enjoy self-led family nature exploration in our Learnscape outdoor classroom. Check in with our staff at the start of your family’s 45 min reserved time slot to receive instructions, and then set off in our safe and exciting outdoor classroom to check out Willamette River fossils, learn Kalapuya words, and create rock art! Materials in both Spanish and English. Follow up your Learnscape time by visiting a Kalapuya Talking Stone (or several Talking Stones!) in the park. Map provided.
