Spring 2020 Field Trips Update

Updated 4-8-20, 5 pm

Dear Spring Field Trip Teachers —

We hope you are staying healthy and relatively sane during this time of unprecedented challenges for all of us. All the best to you as you work to support the students and families in your lives.

We wanted to let you know how sorry we are that we won’t be able to host field trips for any of you this spring. We just heard the news today that schools will be closed for the rest of the year. This will be the first spring in over 25 years that we won’t have the pleasure of working with local teachers and students. We are very sad.

This will no doubt be a challenging term for you, and we want to help. We have already been working to come up with some creative ways to help teachers and parents serve local kids. What we have so far is described on our Nature-Schooling page. Please also consider filling out our Nature-Schooling Support Survey as a way to let us know better how we can help.

Thanks again for everything you do to support our community’s kids. Your jobs are challenging enough in normal times, so extra hats off to you during the coming months.

— Sincerely, Beth, Grace, and Bear
