Curious about local night life? Wonder who’s tiptoeing through the treetops? Who’s crunching in the compost? If your kids like to pretend and they think night critters are cool, then they’ll love Nearby Nature’s 25th annual Haunted Hike in Alton Baker Park, Saturday, October 23rd!
To participate in this fun family-oriented event, register in advance for your hour-long night hike. On each hike you will encounter all sorts of furry and feathered creatures of the night in costume, from a gigantic bat to a sneaky spider.
Hikes are most appropriate for pre-school through elementary-aged kids, but adults love them too!
Note that this year, due to COVID safety concerns, masks and social distancing between family groups will be required to keep everyone safe. We will also not have activities or snacks in the shelter as we have in the past. Kids, however, will each get a take home bag with a fun craft and special surprises!
Members free and $5/person for non-members. Pre-registration is required and space will be limited. Register now online! Note — we are very close to full as of October 8th. If you are not able to secure a spot on the Hike, please sign up on our Wait List (the last session in the online registration process). We’ll contact you if space opens up!
