Restoration Celebration: MLK, Jr. Day of Service
This Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, join Nearby Nature and volunteers from the University of Oregon Holden Center in a Day of Service. Pick up litter in Alton Baker Park, help maintain the stencil mural on the Frohnmayer Footbridge, and (weather permitting) paint over graffiti in the area around the bridge and the Autzen footpath.
Meet by the park kiosk on the north side of the Frohnmayer (Autzen) Footbridge. Car parking is available at the dog park/community garden, boat launch, or near Autzen stadium. Covered bike parking at Nearby Nature’s site next to the yurt. Tools, supplies, and snacks provided. Volunteers should bring a water bottle and dress for the weather in clothes that can get dirty.
For questions and to RSVP, please email Shaun Daniel at parkhost@nearbynature.org.
